Elderberry & Rosehips Oxymel

The term 'Oxymel' comes from the ancient Greek word 'Oxymeli" which translates to 'acid and honey". An Oxymel is a traditional elixir of vinegar and honey with a herb of choice.

In LMDS's blend we have paired our Elderberry with Rosehips. 

The vinegar works as a solvent to extract the minerals, vitamins etc from the plant whist both the honey and vinegar help preserve the preparation. The raw honey brings anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and anti-microbial actions as well as a flavouring agent.

Uses: Enjoy a teaspoon a day on its own to help boost your immune system. Add it to your oil of choice and use it as a salad dressing. Gargle it for a sore throat. Mix it with warm water to soothe a dry throat. Or use it as a digestif to stimulate the digestive process.
