About LMDS

Bonjour
My name is Kim and I am the founder of La Maison De Sirop.
Translating to "The Home of Syrup". Thank you to my husbands European influence.

I like to call my Elderberry business my "accidental business" as if you'd asked me prior to 2019 if i could ever imagine myself cooking elderberry syrups and other exotic herbal tonics i would have laughed and said "me in the kitchen, no way!" But here i am today today, loving every moment of sharing my repertoire of syrups and other goodies. I would have it no other way!

I have always had an interest in the mechanics of the human body and the best ways to support physical wellbeing since young adulthood. I have had a 25 year career in the dance/teaching/entertainment industry with classical ballet as my foundation.

When i stopped dancing to have my children my curiosity really began to grow around maintaining and optimising health on all levels, especially for my children that we were preparing for.

It was when i was pregnant with my daughter that i caught a head cold and a friend of mine encouraged me to try her friends homemade elderberry syrup. I was amazed at how it helped relieve my symptoms and how quickly the symptoms subsided. Carry on to a year later and i caught the flu virus that was circulating which really floored me. I was unable to get out of bed let alone drag myself out to get any syrup.  So i ordered the ingredients online and made it myself the very next day. Again it helped within 24hrs. I gave my spare bottles to my neighbours and before i knew it they were asking what is was exactly that i gave them and if i had anymore of that 'yummy syrup" to give to their families and friends. Et Voila!.....by word of mouth La Maison De Sirop has grown into what it is today, 5 years later.

My passion for assisting other people and sharing what i have learnt about Elderberry and other herbal remedy's is what ignites me. Plants and their healing abilities amaze me. There is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to soak in and to continue passing down to the next generations. As with my dance, my work has always been my passion. My passions are what have driven me to want to work and this is why i am fortunate to be able to look back and realise that i have never felt like i have had to work a day in my life. I feel so thankful for this. xxxx
